Christopher J. Bethel

Full-Time Founder & CEO

Christopher (Chris) Bethel is a biotech scientist and entrepreneur who combines cutting-edge science with a strategic vision for the future of medicine. As the Chief Executive Officer of Curate Therapeutics, he leads the company's scientific and business initiatives, specializing in translational oncology and targeted drug delivery systems. Curate's primary project is the development of the Trojan Horse Platform, a novel delivery system that utilizes platelets to transport chemotherapies directly into solid tumors. Drawing from twenty years of professional experience in biotech product and drug development, Chris recognized that added complexity often equates to added risk, whether through CMC, clinic, or otherwise. Simplicity translates.

For Curate's MVP, THP-001, Chris decided to rely on the power of simplicity. THP-001 innovatively combines a generic medicine (gemcitabine) with a known clinical tool (platelet concentrates). This deliberately simple approach significantly lowers clinical trial risk and is designed to integrate into existing infrastructure, utilizing current cGMP facilities in cancer treatment centers and established blood banking networks. Most importantly, THP-001 is the crucial first step in a much broader, highly scalable platform vision.
